Javier Ballesteros Márquez
Javier brings to our team a very strong educational background, and internships with distinguished design and development firms in the U.S. and Spain. After graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Seville in Spain, he pursued a year of advanced studies at the University of Krakow in Poland, received a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Seville in 2016, and completed the Master of Urban Design program at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana in 2019. His professional experience includes design internships with Kriteria Edificación and Spaniarq T10 Team in Seville, and Ryan Companies in the U.S.
Javier is a core member of our urban and architectural design team, with a focus on conceptual design and integration of locally calibrated building typologies with networks of pedestrian-oriented multi-modal streets and sustainable open spaces. His responsibilities include design collaboration with our senior staff and preparing illustrations for our vision plans and plan alternatives, and for form-based codes and design guidelines.
